Paimpol – Festival du Chant de Marin Friday 9th – Sunday 11th, August.
“To the islands”… What comes into mind but sea and sun, sandy beaches and swaying coconut palms, ukuleles and wahines… And who knows? You might run across all these on Paimpol harbour in 2013. But you might also be in for a few surprises, for among the islands are Tahiti and the West Indies, but also Corsica and Japan, Australia and Ushant, Ireland and Bréhat, not to forget Iceland and Cape Verde, or even the Île aux Coudres in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, Quebec… A vast subject indeed, which the Festival intends to explore with no other ambition than sparking your imagination and filling Paimpol harbour with joy and contentment. Catch the Roaring Forties at various places around the dockside and at: Friday 10:45pm-11:45pm – On the vessel “Fée de L’Aulne” |

Hello, lovely people of The Roaring Fourties!
First compliment for your website! A lot of information about your group.
I have met you in Holland. And enjoyed your perfomence at Bie Daip-Appingedam. The cd ‘Live of Brine’ remembers me that Saterday evening.
Next year our group shall perform at Bie Daip. We must do our best then, ’cause Roaring Fourties were last year in town!
I hope you all have had a good time in Europe. Best wishes from Holand!
Brigit van Tilburg
Roaring Fifties – Breezand
Thanks Brigit, we had a wonderful time on our trip to Europe – good luck for next year at Bie Daip!
